June 2025

Good rains with long fine breaks between them enabled us to plant most of our grain crops.

Lamb marking took place on days that were not suitable for cropping operations and becomes the first time in their individual records that we make visual observations, in this case it is of breech traits. We have been recording early Breech traits for 16 years now, so there are many generations of data in the background of our flock. This is also a time when we review which sires performed well and which ones will not be used again.

We entered some hay and grain in the Fodder section of the Royal Adelaide Show, it had to be delivered for nutrition testing.
